What the Military Issue Rifle Is in Each Country of the World

We're gonna get milsurp G3s and AKs here!!!!???

OMG OMG

LOL, if it were true this would be my reaction too. Sadly we are not to be trusted with such weapons of mass destruction and with over 90 countries signing on to the UN ATT they are vowing to destroy all future surplus rather than let it fall into our evil and grubby little hands. The days of surplus are slowly winding down I'm afraid.

And thereby guarantying future sales contracts of their new stock of national weapons manufacture at top dollar along with export and import tariffs, licences, permits.

Well, at least Canada is balking at signing it, oddly enough. You'd think we'd be the first to sign. Now everyone else can't figure out why. Harper's reasoning is that it would hurt the legal gun-owners in Canada. I can't see how it would beyond not having access to future milsurp, but I doubt that's the real reason anyway. Politics tends to be about money and power, not doing right by your own people, so I must admit I'm stymied. The left-wing really, really wants Harper to sign. That's enough right there to make me wonder about it's validity. I also tend to think many countries break UN arms pacts whenever it suits them, so what's the point? So many questions...

There were many treaties, pacts, and agreements in 1914 as well. Just saying...

Isn't that the treaty designed to slowly and sure disarm general population? Ensuring no resistance against foreign or local oppression? Oh yeah that one ... or was it the one that is supposed to bring world peace?

Can't seem to make up my mind. The way I see it, it's always possible to move down south ... but I love Canada.
