I just got my 97 today. I have 1 thermold, 4 pmag gen3, 2 lar15 and the factory mag. The factory mag and 1 of the lar15 drop free and fit nice. The rest do not fit. From what I can see on mine anyways is that it is not the magwell per say that is too small, its the spine on the back of the magazines that is too wide.Or I suppose you could dremel the magwell spline wider.

I can't believe that it took me this long to findout about the unnameable mags.... nice to see information control is fully in effect here on CGN ;)

I know they're not .50 cal but anybody try Lancer AWM's? I ask as they have a metal upper portion with a polymer lower. I don't have a T97 (I'm waiting on CanAm) so can't try...

Lancers are a no go. Troy polymer mags insert easily and drop free. Half of my Pmags go in but do not drop free, the other half will not even go in 2mm....

I find it odd that so many of us have mags we can't talk about! How many do they have to sell before people decide that they are ok to talk about?! I mean, this is Canada already. The very fact that they are still on the market tells me they are a-ok. If not, they would have been shut down a LONG time ago!!

Monopolizing ?

To the best of my knowledge they have approval from the firearms lab now.

I cant believe for a new gun that "takes AR mags" that you would have to press so hard to check if the mags will venture into the magwell.
