I like the AE MkIII myself. I'd like to own one some day. I don't see them listed on Wolverine's site so it's hard to say if they'll have some in the future.

No, they still make AE in 308 and AW in 308 or .300WinMag. The AW .338Lapua Mag was discontinued last year. AX is made in 308, 300, 338 and 50. It seems to me that the shooting public loves the AE's and the AW's (as they are very unique looking), but is cooler toward the AX's (maybe because they look just like every other "MSR"-type rifle). Accuracy International, on the other hand, does seem to be "pushing" the AX's over their older rifles.

They had two of them on the website earlier this year, one tan, one black. They were both only on the website for a couple of days each. Price was around $3,800 I think. They can get it for you, but you have to order with a deposit and then make installment payments. It could take awhile to get in. Tons of stuff they can get for you is not listed on the webiste. I ordered a bunch of stuff for my AW308 (barrel, muzzlebreak, stocksides, different kinds of hardware, etc. - none of which is listed on the website) in April, and it all arrived with this AI shipment they got in this week (end of September). That is probably about the time-frame to get something, but it could be more. With Accuracy International products, if you want it, you are pretty much going to have to order it. Only one store in Canada sells the rifles at all, and they don't/can't stock very many of them. AE's and AW's sell very quickly if they ever have any that aren't spoken for.

They can get them. Best thing to do is give them the exact specs you want (use the AI webpage) and then put down a deposit and start waiting. It's unlikely that they are ever going to just have exactly what you want in stock (and somebody else doesn't snatch it up first).

I hear ya man;) 2012 production AW. I hope they keep making them, they are amazing rifles.
