rpa actions.

How much pissing around to get a quadlock into a stock that had a 700 in it before? I have full machine shop access.

Quadlocks are flat bottom and I don't believe the bedding screws will line up with 700 spacing. Nothing saying you couldn't fill the stock with Devcon and start it like a new stock blank.

Paper,

RPA is a quality action but Barnards are more accurately made, in fact the Barnards are ahead of the vast majority of USA made actions as well, a few may be as good.

The Bordens are high on my list. However, with an all stainless action the locking lugs must be kept perfectly clean and lubricated or they they will gall badly. You can badly mistreat a Barnard and it will take it and there are reasons they are not stainless. TR guns can take a real kicking over the years.
