I attended today and boy there were a lot of tables present as some of them went out onto the grass. I saw lots of WW2 German and Commonwealth items and some WW1. What caught my eye was a French light cavalry breast and back plate with helm from the French second empire period.

I walked the entire show and I was able to find a WW1 Austro-Hungarian brass buckle and an original Gew 98 sling (that now proudly is part of my 1916 Gew 98). There was a Chassepot bayonet that caught my eye as well but I noticed the lock spring was missing. I did see many 1907 pattern bayonets and the prices varied quite a bit on them.

I did happen to see two Martini-Henrys, both Mark IVs, both made in 1888 at Enfield, both from the same suffix letter block and about 3000 or so apart I think.

There was one gentleman who had a Japanese marked Synder Enfield (Mark I ** I think) and that was certainly something I have never seen before.

Did anyone else go ? What other items did you guys get ?

I am very much looking forward to Orangeville now :D.

Sounds like a good show. Too bad its a bit of a drive for me.

The local show here today was pretty small compared to that, I'm sure but I still found one good deal there. Nothing on your list though Nabs.

Zelly, there was a dummy claymore set with clacker and all as well as a Vietnam era LAW for sale from the same guy. I told him that you were looking for them and passed along your cgn contact info. They hadn't sold as of the end of the day.

Nabs I had no idea you were out there! We should have met up. I picked up a few bren mags, Brit entrenching tool and holder, bayo with ww2 frog, and American pistol belt medical pouch. The only item that I was looking for and couldn't find was a Bren sling.

Did you see that dewat ####-only Thompson upstairs for $2300?

I saw the American medical pouch and I saw that Thompson. The upstairs area was cramped but I did manage to see all the tables. There were a couple of milsurps on a table in the corner and they included a Dutch Mannlicher, a Turkish forestry carbine, a No 4 Mk I, and a Mas 36/51.

I'm going to Orangeville so we will have to meet up there ;).
