I found these parts in the bottom of a box of tools I bought at a garage sale and wondering what they're from. I couldn't find much online, but what I did find was a few parts that looked similar to a Winchester. The only marking on any of the parts was a little 'R' in a circle. The little piece on the bottom of the bolt appears to be broken, but everything else looks OK. I don't suspect its very old as there isn't a ton of wear on the parts. Anyone have any input?

looks kinda like winchester 94, probably a different model though.

Edit: sorry Tiriaq, will keep it to the EE.

They are parts from a Winchester 94 commemorative. The ejector is broken, and the ejector spring is gone.

If you bought them piece by piece from a gun parts retailer, the total would bring tears to your eyes.
Not directly applicable to Canada, but have a look at the price of Winchester 94 parts at gunparts.com.
Note that there were different versions of the rifle.

I agree, Winchester 94 post 64 production. The lower tang has that brassy gold colour maybe from one of the many commemorative models Winchester produced. The saddle ring and stud looks like a 94 model, the original saddle ring carbine had an orphan thread pitch, I think 1/4 inch x 36 threads per inch. If you can measure the thread with a pitch gauge and it is 36 tpi you will know it is for a 94 saddle ring carbine. I don't know if the post 64 saddle rings had the same threads or not. My 2 cents.

I picked up all the parts aside from the saddle ring yesterday, met paintgunner at a starbucks and gave him some money. I have 3 or 4 bare winchester actions without internals, though they are all pre 64, hopefully I can use some of the parts, the extractor was damaged and firing pin missing, but this was disclosed, overall I think I got a good deal on some parts.

Doubt that you are going to be able to use many parts in pre-'64 receivers. The extractor looks ok, the ejector is broken.

Thats what I meant. I have the internals for a pre 64 in my garage, so i should be able to do a comparison, whatever works, works, whatever doesnt, EE.
