The best ar15 platform on the market... open secrect?

The best ar15 platforms are the ones that work. I've seen 2000$ rifles fail and I've seem norcs keep chugging all day (they do fail too of course)

I think people are putting to much crazy sh!t on ar's now. I've never once seen a c7 in the army go down due to having too much gas get into the receiver (DI) and we fired 7000 rounds in one day on a CQB course. Yes 7000 through each rifle. Cleaned it once At lunch and oiled a few more times thought the ejection port. We didn't have anti tilt followers and no piston drives and nobody died.

Haha sorry just my .02 and oh ya my xcr never fails either (yet) :D

Impossible. DI ars don't work they need pistons. No wait gas adjustable pistons. Nevermind ak is way better.

Wait what day is it? I have to go to the bear defense thread

I think you could make a better case that the Adcore Bear rifles are serious evolutions of the AR-15.

I like the folding stock, but beyond that how is this different from the many other pistol driven ARs already on the market?

Really?

Please, tell me more about these pistol driven ARs you speak of.

All jokes aside, I also fail to see the benefits aside from the folding stock.

well, my friend has his for 11 years, and pushing 15k rounds. Runs it in 3gun, and does very well. Para might have screwed up the reputation but the reality is if you have a original ZM Weapon its rock solid. I will review mine, but hey, want to be ignorant about it go ahead.

I had a close look inside the ZM rifle when Para purchased it. Its OK but the recoil system seemed a little rinky dink to me. IF the ZM is so superior as the OP claims, how come they are so rare in AR circles?

The primary problem with the chopped BCG is the ZM will not run in FA. Not a consideration here but an important point to some users.

Well, I heard that a properly tuned ZM will run full auto, I did not see it in person, but my friend had a chance to get a FA lower on it down in the states and dump a beta mag, so I dont know anymore whats true. He is a reliable source, very credible

Nothing other then it was the very first, at least 10 years old. Not sure it's a elegant as the HK's 416 but Stoner did praise it.

Keep it. Fugly stock, and seems like a solution to a problem no one really had.

I'll keep the ACR for Canadian reasons of course. Beyond that, I'm really digging my SR15.

I'd like to know more about this. The ZM runs a shortened BCG. The FA function requires the back end of the BCG to trip the auto sear. The ZM carrier has that portion removed. So unless they have radically altered the FA parts the ZM aint gonna run FA.

folding stock, fully functional folded, the point of acr...

I don't know where you live, or if you are very knowledgeable about classification, but in Canada we have issues the ACR addresses and points to that specific market...

The point of the Bushmaster ACR in Canada is that it can be a great quality, accurate, reliable, 10 or 14 round 5.56 in unrestricted category (after barrel change), making all other arguments against the ACR moot.

WTF is a ZM, where did that crawl out of...

Voila, free of charge

You're serious? core15, the new ruger556, the new famaes, the swiss, etc. i guess you could say they are nor ars, but ars in look but not in function.
