Hate to be the one to say it......Locktite! Happened to me too. I was lucky to not lose mine though

Umm I agree with loctiteing certain parts of the xcr but defiantly not the gas valve! Its not screwed in, there are no threads.

The gas valve should be a little loose until carbon builds up around it. I was just being careless and not affirming it was clicking into the next gas setting. Once clicked in it can't go anywhere
 
Ah I thought u were referring to the whole regulator assembly with the single set screw on the bottom that clamps to the barrel. So the valve shot out of the block?
 
I would like to thank everyone on here who has had to grind away there muzzle breaks to remove them, someone from Robinson armament must be reading these I just bought a new tan XCR-L in 7.63X39 and the muzzle is not welded and pinned it came off like no other with only a small crescent woohoo, so again thanks all you pioneers and thanks who ever made the changes!!!!!

Wow this is a big thread! Sorry guys if my question was answered in here, I read for quite a while and can't seem to come up with an answer in a search either. So if this has been answered, please be nice, I'm new.
I just bought a XCR-M 7.62x51 (308) and haven't had the chance to test it out.
But my question is where can I get some mags!? It comes with a stock 5 but a couple more would sure be handy. I know Magpul makes a p-mag for it 20L pinned for 5. Those would be ideal. I'm in Alberta so local to Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Lethbridge or Med Hat would be ideal. Or online.
I believe any SR25/M110 should fit. But damned if I can find any in stock or avail. Poly, metal ... Anything

Rifle looks awesome, can't wait to try it with my EoTech XPS and MS3 2point sling

It is awesome. If you want to chat about it PM me. Maybe we can go shoot sometime. I bought all of my 5 rd mags from P&D, and MIL-ARM, in Edmonton. plus lots of S&B 308 ammo which fires well.

Thanks orthoboy, I'm down in Calgary, but ya I'd love to go shooting with some of the same calibre! Too bad my local store don't seem to carry any mags for these. I wanna shoot now!


Thanks again for the link. Update: put items into cart was trying to buy, could no register for a new account on my ipad. Kept getting error. Called Wolverine spoke to Ryan (super helpful) was about to just order the RA 5 round mags, then he told me the PMags (PMAG291) just came in! And today were avail on website! Good thing I was having errors registering! Needless to say Wolverine is a delight to deal with. Coming at me PMags for my XCR-M and a couple 5 rnd stock too :))

I just purchased one and it says on my manual revision 1 or its an I and my seriel number is over 9200 if that helps any.

Finally after about a year wait I got the matching foliage green magpul grip to finish my rifle. Not that black was a problem, but now that it's here I wanted to share the end result.
