That is kind of funny. I mean seriously guys...it's a folding stock that isn't integral to the function of the gun. Why did you put it low, then raise it up with a cheek piece? And why is the cheek piece so far back? Are we going for "ear weld" here or what?

Still...won't hold my breath but will be interested to give it a go when and if it makes it here.

I love the gun and cz in general but you right about the cheek riser , even the guys posing with the gun don't seem to be able to get a comfortable cheek weld.

Well CZ has been making some of the best quality firearms for a long long time, I trust in them as much as I trust Colt. So It'll be fine boys, don't panic.

Pretty slick unit, other then the stock. I wonder if an AR stock would fit on it? Or something similar. I dont understand how some of the gun designs get passed, they make everything look nice then the stock is like an aborted thing they found.

Plenty of people that would argue otherwise. Unless you are just talking about the ridiculous hoops the CBSA/RCMP are putting the shipments through.

The CZ 858 is not a POS. Fired 10k rounds through mine and only had one issue when I used an after market mag that has a screwed up feeding lip. You probably meant the CSA made ones.

Hopefully it doesnt turn out to be a total pos like the 858

Humm i have had 4 they have all run great with dirt cheap surplus ammo and very accurate? Are you sure its the gun thats the POS?

The CZ 858 is not a POS. Fired 10k rounds through mine and only had one issue when I used an after market mag that has a screwed up feeding lip. You probably meant the CSA made ones.

My CSA in 7.62x39 has been great. No complaints for me.

Is the charging handle ambidextrous on these things? Its on the wrong side in the pictures for me. However there is a long cut out slot on the right side where one could fit. That is why I ask. Proprietary mags are a turn off to.

858 is one of the best semi autos military assault firearms ever made, by all the reviews out there, but whatever since it's not Chinese you don't like it.
