Oh Mr Wolverine, I hope you are talking with your Czech friends.

I'd pay $850 or less for a restricted one but I'd pay up to $2200 for a non restricted.

But I'd want it to have the fore grip extended 3 inche's and the barrel extended out the front the other inch and a bit. Instead of just having a odd looking barrel sticking out the end. Or some other way to extend the barrel 4.4" instead of just sticking out the end.

I'll take two of each ... Don't tell the wife! About either :)
Will we be able to try these out at the next customer appreciation day?

I found the Tavor very bulky when I held it, and my hand had a disturbing tendency to want to slip up the grip behind the trigger. I'm also uncomfortable with mangling my PMAGs to make them compatible, and the accuracy leaves much to be desired.

The XCR seems much better and more up my alley, but the concerns about screws coming loose haven't died down. I also don't like the charging handle size and placement, though I love the other controls.

Well to each is own, but learning that screws need to be tightened is just the same as learning that an ar must be kept clean. It should just become SOP when you are dealing with the rifle. I personally loved the left side charging handle, wouldn't want it like and ak, and certainly not like an ar. If money is not object, I would definitely choose and XCR over an ar any day.

looks alot like the scar. i have to do some research but i believe these are kind of like the swiss arms counterpart of the scar. that being said if it ever makes it into the country
restricted or not it will probably cost the same as other rifles in this class $2500. and i would buy one for sure.

Yes you make that clear and just about every post… You like the XCR. If it was restricted, it would not sell in Canada. It would not sell in Canada if the AR platform was nonrestricted.

You should make a form letter that you just copy and paste in every thread

Ya and neither would the ACR, and if the SCAR was not prohib it wouldn't sell if AR's were non-restricted. I accept that, the AR would trump any of these rifles in popularity any day.

So now that CZ is officially manufacturing the CZ 805 BREN in a semi auto only configuration, are there plans to bring these bad boys to Canada? More info would be greatly appreciated.

Stupid question of the day , from a bit of a newbie..

whats a CZ 805, a 7.62mm AR type ?

Thx!
JMG

I was kinda interested in this rifle until I did some research and found this

The BREN features a quick-detach barrel and modular magazine well. It is chambered in 5.56 NATO and 7.62x39mm and can be quickly changed from one caliber to the other.
I did some more reading and it turns out it takes ar15 magazines
I am interested in this rifles, specifically in the longer barrel configurations they are NR

From a quick wiki search
In standard configuration, the CZ 805 will use proprietary 5.56x45 caliber 30-round magazines made of translucent polymer. Other magazine housings will allow use of STANAG or HK G36 5.56mm magazines, as well as various 7.62x39mm and 6.8x43mm magazines.
And
The CZ 805 also features quick-change barrels, allowing users to change calibers and barrel lengths according to the mission profile. There are short "carbine", intermediate "standard", long "marksman" and heavy "squad automatic" barrels available in each caliber.

You can all relax as we are several years away from having a "Canadian compliant" version in production, it may never happen as right now only ourselves and New Zealand have the same requirements. Also forget any illusions that she will be at a CZ 858 price ( or even a CZ 958 price) I would expect her to be $2000 or even higher! CZ are notorious for pricing a product for what the market will stand not on their cost and our price to you has to be based on our cost.

John buddy,

Its me Branden, the guy who is always harassing you about CZ products and especially the skorpion evo III.
Please, please for the love of God explain just a bit what this CZ958 is going to be????

Just a 858 but made to compliant for us canadians or something different all together??

Sorry for the thread jacking everyone! !!!
