An honest XCR review for anyone interested in one

Man I am jonesing to take mine to the range and shoot it. Being that I live in QC, I have to wait for the regie before I can take it out and I've been waiting 3 weeks now!!! Pissed!! Got so bored I decided to do an Armacoat finish on the barrel and the aluminum upper. (Love that Armacoat!!)

Very nice review!

I bought mine close to a year now and I have the 7.62x39 version and 5.56 kit. The x39 kit has about 2000 rds of corrosive and non-corrosive and just keeps on going. Mind you I've had a couple of problems like the barrel retaining screw getting loose (I didn't tighten it enough and didn't put some loctite ) and some of the mags didn't work properly but that was operator issue not actual gun issue. The 5.56 kit has about 800 rounds and no hiccups at all. All my lar and magpul mags work in 5.56 but the x39 version the mags can be a tad touchy and almost hard to come by. I've only seen 10rds mags only nothing in the 5/30 mag.

But I do feel a difference in recoil where the x39 has a bit more but its so much fun to shoot. The 5.56 is so light in recoil i can shoot it with the stock folded and still be pretty accurate!

Oh almost forgot welcome to the XCR club!!:D

Nice OD green. I woulda loved to get the tiger stripped one wolverine had (because it's super tacticool and will hide you in the Congo jungles much better) but I couldn't wait any more haha the only colour I would have said no to at that point was white.

Thanks! Love OD green as a color. I was looking at a black one until i saw a OD green and bam! in my hands!

Don't want to hijack this thread but I just started having FTE problems with my XCR and I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas what it could be. Tried multiple amo brands as well as different mags and gas settings but about one in ten rounds it fails to pull the spent brass from the chamber then the freshly stripped hot round jams into the back of the spent round. I'm thinking its probably the extractor spring but not sure. Any ideas would be great. The XCR is a great non restricted for sure!!

Umm... where does it say that you HAVE to get a reggie? (what LAW?)

Better yet, what LEGAL penalty is there if you don't?

(Hint: Call the CFO and ask them those two questions... and see what they say. You might have an "Eureka" moment, unless of course they B.S. you on the phone)
