I'm not familiar with these, which would be the best to get? I understand it depends on what it's used for, probably an ar-15 and I'll switch it around a bit, maybe on a slug gun ect. But which would be better overall? Thanks !!

Mepro 21- 560$

Have you seen a bushnell trs-25?
$115 with a high rise mount!
There were alot of cgn members pointing me to this rds. I'm a convert!
Saved alot of money and had a really light, great rds!

I was choosing between the 2 myself and went with the Hensoldt. I really don't think either choice is better though. They are both excellent sights proven in combat.

I prefer the size, weight and looks of the Hensoldt. The Mepro doesn't need batteries and has a reticle that isn't just a dot.

I take Helsoldt becous Ich bin aus DDR but honestly both are good sights. The israeli one is more proven in real action and it works. German sight quality from what I saw was outstanding but it needs battery one from Israel needs no batteries. If it was me I would just drop a coin

I've owned both and I wouldn't recommend either of them. Currently I use T-1s and m4s, which in my opinion are much better due to clarity, reticle size and ease of adjustment. The M21 has bad washout issues and the Hensoldt eats batteries and is a PITA to adjust, both brightness and zero.

I agree, personally would go with the T1, same price level, There was an article about Helsoldt regarding quality issue,it was somewhat rejected by some branches. You can try goggling on this subject.

With a battery that you only have to change every US election, the Aimpoint T1 and H1 are hard to beat.

We've done demos where we shoot a group, take it off and throw it against a brick wall, then remount and shoot the same group.

Used by almost every SF unit out there.

I own a couple of both options. The M21 and Hensoldt RSA.

For an AR rifle.... I would go with an Eotech. The aimpoint Hi/T1 is another option. But I still prefer the Eotech with the 1 moa dot and 65 moa ring.

I use the M21 mostly for bullpup rifles where the M21 is a better fit as it allows less hindrance for charging handles than the Eotech. I do have one on an Armalite AR15 as it came with a Fab defense stock and I figured I'd continue with the Israeli look so it looked cool next to the Tavor. The height is good. The base isn't as solid as the Eotech. Also you do get washout, but there is a solution to that. Frankly the lack of batteries and the new solution more than makes up for that. But for an AR rifle I'd generally go Eotech.

The RSA. I use these for pistol caliber carbines. CX4 storm and PS90. Works great. Love that red dot. Clear non coloured glass. I really like mine. Light, looks cool and works very nicely. For an AR rifle? I guess but then you need a riser. That ruins it for me. I'm not overly fond of the periscope look of the T1 etc either on the AR. Although they do work well. Just seems to me the Eotech was designed for an AR and it suites the AR the best.

Summary: Bullpup rifles or rifles with side charging handles. M21 is often my preference. Pistol caliber carbines, The RSA is the ticket. For the AR, Eotech. I have a 553 on my Stag 2T and now a XPS3-0 on my ADCOR project. The 553 suites the Stag but the new ones look really good on the monolithic style rifles.
