Hi Folks,
Want to get the old girl ready to dance on Sunday (trying out the new parts upgrades) and having put north of 400 rounds through her already I figure it's time to get the crud out of the gas system. I've got her stripped down for installing a new op-rod spring & spring guide and I'll be swapping out the rear sight assembly. I have the set of drill bits, I got the wrench, I got everything mostly apart but the <bleep!>ing bayonet lug means I can't get the piston out. Short of removing the front sight/flashhider assembly, anyone got any tips? to get the piston and/or crud out?
Waiting with baited breath and surfing the youtube for help, with a disassembled rifle looking balefully over my shoulder....
Thanks,
-DF
