Took mine apart last night in preparation for a trip to the range today, as was pleasantly surprised how easily it came apart....and got put back together, sans tools.
Brake cleaner took the storage crud off, and G96 was applied liberally to the appropriate parts.
At the range today, only got a chance to shoot at 25 yards, but was more than happy with the trigger, general handling, and accuracy.
Yeah...the controls blow, but everything worked like it was supposed to, and I get the feeling it will be reliable, like most other Norinco products.
At $1200 out the door....a price paid for being an 'early adapter', it still strikes me as pretty good value, but at $850 + tax, I think that it's a smokin' deal for what you get.
I had a couple of 'newbie' shoot it back to back with a Tavor, and they both thought the T97's trigger was much nicer ( it is!).
When they found out the price difference, they were sold!
I find the T97...and likely any 'variant'....easy to recommend. I have found my new 'truck gun'!
