Guys, I don't know a lot about the 10/22 but they seem to have peaked my interest as of late.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a 10/22, put the overmold stock on it, and replace the barrel with a heavy barrel. I'd rather find a "one stop shop" if at all possible as I'm not a gunsmith and don't really know how to change out the barrel.

Is there anywhere in Canada that would stock all of these items as of now?

Why not buy something close to the final product that you want in the first place? Base gun ~ $250, Heavy/match barrel ~ $200 to $500, new stock $150.....adds up.

I think it would be best for you to spend some time a rwad the tips/tricks for 10/22. There is lots to learn but it really is simple. No gunsmithing required. I'm making an ultra light 10/22 build.
New 10/22 = 260 tax in
New charging hamdle and extractor = 60 tax in
New Axiom stock = 82 tax in
New barrel from dlask = 160 tax in
Sold my wood stock for 40
Hope to sell my fact barrel for 60
So I'm in the build for $462.
A wicked gun is the magnum research 22. Is 4.25lbs.Kellys gun shop has it for less than wanstalls. However its 775 including tax/shipping.
I cant justify spending 300 more on roughly the same build.
Hope you find what your looking for, please message if you habe any questions!

Thanks guys, even if I could find one of those 10/22 VLEH models I'd pick it up.

Anyone know where I can get one of those right now?

You just missed out on what appears to be the yearly shipment of 10/22's.
I've seen some takedown models for sale by vendors, but you're going to have a tough time finding a standard 10/22.

As for modifying the gun, I went with an Archangel Deluxe stock, an extended mag release, a urethane buffer bolt, and a bit of polishing and I'm plinking a tree target at 75-100 yards. It's a heck of a fun gun, and I have no issues with modifications, because it responds so well to basic changes. If you want the ultimate 10/22, I would look into the Wanstalls link. I've seen their .22's in person, and they're nice. Definately not cheap, but when you add up the cost of the barrel, stock, trigger group, etc, you're up in that range anyway.

There are alot of 10/22 new in Canada, you just have to search and make calls. I got mine fron a little shop in bc, $249.00 for the basic 10/22. Happy cause there was NO mark-up which they could have easily have done.

Got somewhere around $1000 into this guy, their addicting
Ive sourced parts from dlask, tacaccesories (awesome to deal with) fabsports (wont be doing buisness with them again), ee,saskatoon gun works.

You could just got 100 percent custom and do a Dlask arms DAR 22 which is a 10/22 but Canadian made parts.

The cool part about it is if you want something they can make it the way you want ie I want a longer or shorter barrel they can make it.

Yeah I've been speaking with them over the phone, I think I may end up going that way. Are the DLASK DAR22 supposed to be any good?

Dlask has hogue stocks and heavy barrels and can do all the work for ya if you asked Joe.
he put 2 barrels into receivers for me, granted i spent a bunch of $$ there, haha!

you asked about the DAR, they are nice.
i run 2 of the DAR receivers and they are great.
i built a tack pusher and my own DAR using all DLASK stuff, both guns are perfect and i would never sell them off, they are keepers.

Lets just put it this way I bought a 10/22 upgraded the inside parts then bought a DAR 22 and it was night and day better Joe did the trigger job and it was better then the $300 worth of parts I put in it. Trigger job was cheap too so for allot less I got a good rifle I provided the stock I wanted so it was a little cheaper then the price on the site but it depends on what you want out of the rifle. you want a tack driver get a DAR 22 and don't look back. you want a rifle that works ok out of the box and is cheaper get a Ruger 10/22 if you plan on changing all the parts just get a DAR 22 built the way you want it comes out a little cheaper in the end.
