I never really liked the stock sights. Anybody know a good gunsmith or someone to install some decent sights, or sights that you can install yourself. Im thinking ghost ring, or williams peep sights, what do you have on yours?

I put a williams peep sight on mine. Its pretty decent, and allows a large amount of adjustment for both elevation and windage. Unfortunately, it doesn't really look as sleek as skinner and xs sights, but I find it very functional.

I put a set of XS winged 1895 ghost-ring sights and an XS Lever Scout Mount on my Marlin 1895 GBL guide gun, I bought them from Brownells. The XS ghost ring sights are excellent, I bought the winged one as it does protect the rear peep in case of accidental drops.

I had XS ghost ring sights on my 1895gbl sold it to a friend, bought a Rio Grande and put a set of Skinners on it, my preference is the XS,

You'll be quite happy with the skinners. Love mine

Im happy with them if they dont kill me first lol. Should have read the warning a little more on Andys website. Cut my thumb on the dovetail as i was manually pushing it out to install the rear sight. Serves me right! I just have to get a file now to use to get the front sight to fit. Then ill take a pic. I hope Canadian Tire has a 60 degree triangle file.
