The seller still has books for me and unused .223 brass included in the price. I am thinking about picking up a hand primer so I can get the feel for it instead of press priming

Checkout the Lee "Ergo" very well built and easy on the hands
True. Lee's really cheap presses are good for simple tasks like a dedicated decapper or bullet lubing if you're a lead-caster.
Lee's Classic Cast is an awesome press, and their priming on the press system is excellent.
EDIT: I missed your later post where you bought all that stuff. $150 is a good price.

I would highly recommend the RCBS Hand Primer. I had the Lee before and it was hard on the fingers.
I found mine to have a bit of a sharp edge on the main body that goes against the Web between your thumb and fingers annoying. I will at some point sand it smooth. I also wrapped the tiny handle with cloth and electrical tape so it doesn't hurt as much. For the price I'm happy though it would have been nice to be able to use normal shell holders instead of the lee ones.

I went to cabelas today and all they had was the el-cheapo lee one for 16.99 so I grabbed that one, ill use it till I can get a better one
My biggest problem with them is that when using new Lapua brass the primer pockets are tight and it sucks to load with the Lee. With the larger lever on the RCBS it makes it a breeze.
After trying Lee's system of priming on the press, I'd never waste time with a hand primer again. It's extra steps that are totally unnecessary.
It primes on the downstroke of your sizing operation... you have to downstroke to get the brass out of the die anyway!
