Alright folks, I need a little bit of help from you .223 guru's out there. Relatively recently, I bought a Mini-14 and would like to have it ready as a back up gun for the fast approaching deer season here in Ontario. My primary rifle will be a BRNO ZG-47 in 30-06 but I always bring an extra rifle in case my primary craps out for whatever reason and the Mini is the only back-up rifle I have available at present.
That being said : What do you guys use for .223 SP ammo and which seems to be best? Or should I go one step further and go bonded? The Mini has a 1 in 9 twist rate so it should be a-ok to stabilize heavier rounds.
Also, where would be a good place to get said ammo? All I can find around home is FMJ. Not even a hollow point to be seen let alone SP...
Thanks for the help.
