Jewelling?

That looks great Freddy.

Nice stairs, nice log loader, and wicked mill.

Let us know how your bolt turns out OP. It's always more fun when you do it yourself. You can't F it up. It's metal. Worst case you have to polish it out and start again.

It is quite simple to do yourself on a 99 bolt. All you need is a drill press and some grid paper (mine is laminated) to get your spacing even. Cratex abrasive sticks are available at KBC Tools and they work much better than valve grinding compound (shown in the photo below)

A 1/4" cratex stick can be held in a soapstone holder (available at any welding supplier).

All that being said, if you don't want to try it yourself and you can't find anyone local you are welcome to send me a PM.

Cool setup. Gear looks like some of the gingery style ones, did you make the gear or find it some were?

Always wanted to try this, should have done it to some of the cooey's I sold in the last couple years, would have been good to try jeweling on them. I guess a guy guy practice on a piece of pipe.

Nice work.

I made the gear some years ago on my "Engine Mill" from 3/8" aluminium flat bar.

I got to find the time to get it out of storage and get working with it again,,,, looking though my old photos and missing it,,, LOL

Nope, not expensive. Built from cast off connecting rods and various bits and pieces from the scrap box. Recycling was a necessity after I lost my father when I was in my early teens, now it is an old habit. (one that gives me great satisfaction BTW)

those are honking great aluminum rods out of a very expensive race motor, where did you find those?
