Ok so I am just wondering if it makes sense to get the sks barrel crowned and then threaded to put a muzzle brake on it ? Or is it pointless to get it crowned if I'm going to thread the end of the barrel to put a muzzle brake on it ............ ?
actually the pointless part is the muzzle brake...it's an sks....it doesn't kick so what are you trying to reduce?
if you're just wanting to be quicker on your follow up, well again it's an sks so it's not like you'll be grouping that tight anyway.
just load it, shoot it and then load it again.
cheers
How much more useless can people be? Try answering the question maybe...

I agree with all the suggestions but here's the answer to your question, if it is cut properly(straight and burr free) you dont need to get recessed crown, if you are putting MB on. Brake will protect your crown. But at the same token it wouldn't hurt to have it crowned as it will make sure the cut is straight(right where rifling ends).
Yes ok yea you make a valid point thanks for the advice.
