AR-15 Upper Sale Question

I have an AR-15 upper that I would like to sell privately, what am I required to do by law?
If this is not the right thread please direct it to the appropriate thread
 
10.5" Unknown manufacture I forgot what parts are in it and lost the emails, its hbar profile barrel. Its technically already sold... I thought it was exactly as fenceline said just wanted some confirmation... I guess I have to still call CFC and tell them its been removed from the lower and now the lower is a lower only.

Technically you don't have to tell them anything about the upper. You would be calling them to advise that the gun is now a receiver only.
