Also, in terms of grip size, how well does it fill the hand? I hate the stock A2 grip. Way too small.

Night and day from the standard A2. Very comfortable and takes out a major pressure point when handling for long periods and drills

Agreed. I've got one in my AR and it's great. Very comfortable when shooting all day.

I've got one of these on my CQB carbine. The angle is far more comfortable for repeated raising/lower from front sling position. I've got very large hands and the grip is a huge improvement over the A2 as far as sizing goes.
