I picked up a couple boxes of Hornady bullets in the 35 caliber.
When I got home, I realized that the markings on the box didn't
match what I am using.
They are marked "SSPB" which I think mean single shot pistol bullets?
How are these different from the soft point bullets for hunting?

My understanding has been that they have a slightly thinner jacket in the nose area with the assumption that the bullets will be driven at slower than rifle velocity. Google Hornady SSP as they might have a better explanation than me....

"...the markings on the box didn't..." What does it say? A pistol bullet isn't going to weigh what a rifle bullet weighs.

Called Hornady and their gent told me the SS/PB bullets are set for expansion at
1600-2400 fps.
Good info.
Should be deadly on paper targets............aye?
