Marlin .22xt, i bought it for i believe $180+ tx, awesome rifle, same hole in a 5 shot group, good buy.

ive got a .22 mag, love it in my .22xt rifle, 7 shot mag, ive used it in the past year to drop 13 crows, 3 ground hogs, 2 possums, 2 raccoons and a skunk, some out at quite the distance like 180 yards+

Sounds like I should visit Woodstock! Many groundhogs out that way? :) Your crows must not be as educated as ours. We walk into a hay field with .223s and crows 300+ yards away take off~no matter how slow/careful we are. Smart birds!

Around here the crows leave as soon as you open your gun cabinet. They can predict your intentions.

Our Shepard/Husky cross isn't bothered by any birds except crows. She literally despises them and would do anything to get at them. Odd!

30 shots in a pistol mag that dosn't extend past the bottom of the grip, pretty cool little pistol & I am a believer in the .22 mag - traveling on par with a .44 mag and hits with same muzzle energy as some .38 . + very economical to shoot.Whats not to like.

Keltec PMR30 is a pistol that uses .22WMR.

A .22mag with a premium soft tip or hollow point . From arm pit to crotch will drop a man as fast as any other round . In fact it is more accurate than many pistol rounds at 100yrds.
In all cases shot placement is crucial.
a miss with s&w .500 wont stop chit, a center mass with a .22s will stop a man . Thats a fact jack.

For personal defense, I prefer steel toe work boots... Ammos cheap, you don't need to practice much and you don't go to jail...

What magazine manufacturer is that and what type of semi's are those? Please and thanks!

LOL....I have a 25 shot magazine that holds both 22WMR and .17HMR

You can zip through a lot of money REAL fast. :p

If your charged with excessive force you may and if you kill him you most likely will in this country. Even if it's with your bare hands.

Aye. But at least you would be able to prove to all satisfaction that your 'recipient' WAS actually close enough to you to require defense against.

Try THAT when you are pinging shots off at someone at 100 yards. Theoretically of course.

In realistic terms, however demotivational getting hit with any form of .22 may be, if I were to find myself in a situation where "nothing else will do" I think I would prefer that I had something that would carry a larger payload.
If it gets to the point where someone is going to get shot, it is my amateur opinion that the concepts of 'take a shot and scare him away' or 'just wing him' get chucked in the dumpster, and you get on with the job with some seriousness.

Somethin' is better than nothin', but...

Canadian Law does not usually allow folks to carry a handgun around with them, so if you are in your house, at night, listening to someone kicking on your door and headed towards the safe, you may just as well grab the biggest thing in there, eh?

Dangphool, that mag says "Volquartsen" on the side, which may be a hint! :)

The lever gun is a Ruger (96-22Mag), and the semi is either a 10-22 magnum or a clone (also Volquartsen?).
Looks like expensive fun!

Cheers
