Has anyone heard of this.the rifle itself is a ivsehsk, (54) but it also has a tula star on the stock. It is about 300, stock is rough and it doesn't appear to be a refurb. Kind of on the fence about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Stock is likely refurbished or was replaced by the owner. $300 is way too much for it IMHO... you can get them for $199 from Wanstalls and other places

I am not sure about that. Local shop ( doesn't know/care) got it shipped in from his supplier. No ###x on stock . No refurb mark on reciever. When I took it apart doesn't look like it has been fired.

Still a lot of money, I got mine for $159, it does have a refurb stock but who cares. Whichever way it is refurb or not its not original if it has two plant markings and not worth 300

If it has two stamps, its because its been to two different armories = Refurb. 300 is still way too much. Don't pay more than 200

300 is way to much for non collectible sks. If your looking for a really nice really cheap Russian sks that has most of the comolene cleaned off allready check this out

And if you get a case of ammo you save 10$ and get free shipping. I've bough a few guns from them and they are allways beter then the description.

Great deal, I paid $10 less but that sale is over... and sks for $169 is a steal!

Russian refurb SKS' go for $199 in the local Cabelas, Wholsale Sports and Canadian Tire here. I paid that price for both my 50 Tula and 54 Izzy. Both refurbs. Plus you get to choose through 3 or 4 usually.
As for charging $300, dealers are starting realize the Izzy SKS' will eventually dry up and not be picked out of crates so easily as they currently are. The market wants them and there are less of them than the MANY other SKS variants. Simple supply and demand.
