Help! Sub2000 Problem

I just bought a brand new sub2000 9mm Glock model and for some reason, without fail, the last round always stovepipes.

I've shot ~200 rds of various brands and bullet weights, but still 99% of the time the last round FTE. The only Glock mags I can seem to get here are KCI or the one that came with the gun. All of them do it. I tried contacting kel-tec and Vault Distributing. Kel-tec gave me generic send it back, but gave american send-back details. Vault still hasn't responded (big surprise!).

Is this a serious problem? or do I need to break it in more?

I believe a break in of 500 rnds is necessary.
I have one and was getting the occasional fte but after 500 rnds it's running great.
 
I had that problem, as well as other FTE issues with mine, and it was due to limp-wristing the rifle. You need to keep it right tight to your shoulder, or this can happen. Also - as mentioned, the break-in period is pretty important.
 
Oh ok so far general consensus is I need to dump more rounds! Not the worst solution :p

I've looked for Glock-brand Glock 17 mags, but the only ones I've seen are ones on EE for ~100$ each, any pointers on finding non-Korean ones here?

Didn't think I was limp-wristing it, but I could be wrong. I have a hard time tucking the rifle into my shoulder and looking down the sights, its a bit small for me. Maybe I'll extend the stock a bit.

I will try and find some cheap-o 9mm so I can make it past the break-in period!

Yeah - that was what I thought too - but I could easily replicate the problem by not having the rifle tight to me. I hear ya about it being small - I am pretty small dude and found it difficult to look down the sights on it.

I have a trs-25 and riser on the way, going to mount it higher than the iron (plastic?) sights. It should help with the crick in my neck from shooting it.....
 
I have had similar problems with my sub-2000 it just stove pipes at least once a mag. Making it through a full mag without a stove pipe is a nice feeling.
 
use real glock mags and decent ammo. i was #####ing about mine then replaced the mags and it runs amazingly. also running it soaking wet with oil helps. only problem i have now is the safety...

Glock-brand Glock 17 mags are pretty hard to find, or stupidly expensive. Any sources for some?

I have noticed it likes running drenched in oil too, whats wrong with the safety? something I should worry about?
 
Not sure if they still ship to Canada but http://www.rockyourglock.com/ used to be a good source.

Mine didn't have problems every mag but did occasionally stovepipe, it gets better the more you use it. I use 124gr American Eagle mostly. I have Glock and KCI mags and it's never made a difference in reliability. I have over 1000 through mine and it hardly ever has failures anymore.
