Smell

My wife is kind of sensitive to smells so you can imagine how she feels about Hoppes #9. Any suggestions for an alternative. Gotta get lead and carbon out as well as something for copper.
Thanks for all the suggestions in advance.

I had this problem when my wife was pregnant with our first baby I ended up using boiling water and a hair dryer.

During the second pregnancy my wife kicked me out of our in door garage to the shed to cleaning guns ever since then I use anything and everything I want out in the shed. . . lol

sorry all the products I know about do have a smell

Froglube is great, I use it myself. But it doesn't do sh*t against copper and lead. So maybe a foaming cleaner in conjunction with Froglube.

That's interesting as I haven't had any problem with my firearms.

Did you go through the whole and complete Froglub Solvent-dry-heat-Froglub CLP step-by-step process on your first application?

My advice is to stop cleaning your guns in bed. When I moved my cleaning and maintenance to the garage from the bedroom, the complaints pretty much stopped.

Mpro7 cleaner is odourless and it's one of the best carbon removers/cleaners you can buy in Canada. I also use Mpro7 copper remover and Gun Oil, IMHO their oil is amazing.

Simple, do it on the stove after she goes to bed and turn on the range hood fan. Make sure you open a window so you can get better through-flow.

Better to install a cleaning/painting station in the garage with a really good hood and evacuation fan and side screens.

Benzene and all its derivatives are nasty, nasty stuff that the liver cannot metabolize. Carcinogens one and all.
