Is there anyone in Southern Alberta that would be interested in renting me their barrel nut removal tool? My Brownells order finally made it in, and I need to get my Enforcer mounted. I am in the Calgary area regularly and travel quite a bit in the south. Thanks in advance.

I have one you could borrow. You'd either have to cover shipping or take me out to dinner!

wouldn't be much to ship back and forth, Ontario to Alberta.

Let me know.

mmmmmmmm. Enforcer.....

Aside from looking bad ass does putting a brake on the KSG help reduce recoil much? Can you actually feel the difference? How much louder is it for the shooter?
I didn't think a brake would do much on a low pressure round like a 12ga but I've never tried one.
I like the look of it and my KSG could use some customizing.

A very noticeable reduction in felt recoil...not much louder for the shooter (1of38)

Hunter. You can borrow it. Black acres doesn't have his brake yet, and he's pretty local to me.

Just tell ell me where to ship it!

an impact gun is a must. Half inch drive.

I used a wrench one of the guys I was shooting with that just had a short bar that went through the top of the socket and turned mine off fairly easily, it was tight but no way an impact was needed.
I had read they were really tight so wanted to try the wrench when I saw that he had it.
Guess I need to order a brake now :)

I just posted the same idea question, but I'm in Ontario. It also looks like a good reason to socialize...

Shooter1of38, sent you a pm!

What's your location?

Okay. It's going out tomorrow to hunter1970 on my dime.

hunter, you ship it to guess_kto on your dime.

Guess_kto, you ship it to black acres on your dime

blackacres, you ship it back to me.

Everyone wins!

this will also give blackacres time to get his brake ordered and shipped

you guys pm each other and set up logistics on your end(s)

OK. I have the socket, but it turned to be designed for larger diameter than my socket tools. Sorry for the delay. I'll go to the CT tomorrow and get something.

Yep. Are you using an impact gun too?

Hey Manix,

I received your pm with address and understand you have pm'd Shooter1of38. Once I receive the barrel nut socket from guess_kto and spin off my factory nut, I'll mail it to you.

Brownells shipping info. suggests that my Enforcer break should be here today or Monday.

Thanks again Shooter1of38.

Here are some pics of mine:

Thanks again shooter! I put a heat gun to the factory nut, until I could see the existing locktite liquify; the nut spun off pretty easy after that. I installed the Enforcer with a small amount of locktite, just to be sure.

I also slid in the two SS Vang Comp mag tube followers as well, I cant wait to give it a try. If anyone else is doing the mag tube followers, heat (read - locktite is used) is your friend. I ended up using a loonie and vise grips for a removal tool . All in all it was a pretty easy mod though.
