Help me chose a flash hider

I just picked up a griffin armament tactical compensator from Armtac. Really like it so far (100 rounds in). Very similar to battlecomp but a cheaper alternative. It's made out of stainless and it's the same size as the a2 birdcage.

But if you have your heart set on a flaming pig.. I do have one rolling around the parts bin. 500 rounds old.

Nothing beats SEI for flash suppression.

I couldn't agree more, nothing on the market compares to the vortex for flash suppression. Even the AAC blackout which is a close second still has more flash. I'm running a vortex on a 10.5" AR15, and during some dark testing barely any flash was visible and thats out of an SBR. Buy the vortex, and never look back, it doesn't require a crush washer either.

I also have a YHM Phantom and really like it but it is really loud and has quite the concussion blast...But it definitely does what a brake is supposed to...I have an 11.5" bbl...

May I suggest ...Triple Tap Flash Suppressor/Compensator from KAC

The recoil is with factory rounds makes it like a pistol round. Reloaded .223 is even more amazing thru this device.
Is it worth the cost for you ? Depends what you will be using it for.

HOLY CRAP!!!!....Just saw a KAC Triple Tap for sale in the EE....$415 for a flash hider!!!!....and its used.......:sok2

S&J linear brake, with flutes to match your handguard holes?

In September I ordered one of SJ Hardware's linear compensators identical to yours (with the straight slots milled in the side). I like the look of them.

They sent me the version with the "spiral dimples" on the side which was not what I wanted and dislike.

I contacted them and they said to send it back for a replacement of the correct type. So I did send it back.

That was over a month ago and I am still waiting. No response to emails this week so I guess it will be phone calls next week.

The product looks to be made well, but I can't try it out until I get one.

Cheers!

Well guys, another month has gone by and I have still not received the replacement linear compensator from SJ Hardware. That is now over two months of waiting.

There has be no response from SJ Hardware since I returned the incorrect compensator back in September. No answers to any of my emails or response from a message left on their telephone answering machine.

The product (SLC-2 Compensator) is now listed as being "in stock" on their website.

I don't think that it is unreasonable to expect a response or customer service.

Has anyone else had difficulties with SJ Hardware? I am beginning to feel scammed.

I'm supposed to be getting the AGW Linear comps back in stock soon but no confirmed eta just yet.

Also have some Noveske KX3's in stock now.

No, inconel

Worth a read if you care about the performance of the flash hider as well as the looks.
Most of the Canadian manufacturers would do well by understanding why KAC had to use an exotic metal with the TT. I've seen so many linear brakes lately and unless these guys are using some uber exotic metal treatment their devices are going to burn through very quickly.

For pure flash supression it's very hard to beat a prong flash hider in any of their iterations.

PM badboybeeson. I've bought several things from them this month. No issues.

I think similarly on both counts.

Thanks for the info......

I am thinking now that the AGW may have been a wiser purchase. :(

At one point I was actually thinking of buying an SJ Hardware barrel...... but that thought has left me now.

I had no problems with my AGW linear comp.

My 16.5 inch S&J had too large of a gas port which made my rifle harsh to shoot.
I would pass and find a Daniel Defense or one of the many other quality barrels available.
