vz58 in 5.56 metal magazines?

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the red rifle scene, and I just picked up a vz58 in 5.56 which I absolutely love. My only real problem with it is the plastic mags from CSA look kind of... i dunno, budget? Is anyone aware of anyone out there making metal magazines for the 5.56 version of this beautiful rifle? I know I can get a mag well adapter and use AR style mags, but I thought I'd ask the question first. I did try a search of the forums but haven't had much luck.

Those plastic mags may feel like recycled VHS tapes, but they are quite tough and do work well.

haha, that's great to know. I've been happy with how they perform, but it's more of an aesthetic thing for me.

Painting them tactical matte black might help.

That looks great! I'll have to give that a try. Did you use a certain kind of paint, or just any old matte black spray-paint?

I just used a can of matte black spray paint that was kicking around.

I have used the plastic mags in CQB. They work well and have not broken - yet. But the adapter would allow for faster mag changes.

If you are not competing against the clock, the plastics work well.
