SHOT SHOW 2013: Master Piece Arms MPAR

or ACR or G36 or SAR80 or XM8 or ... ect.

Big deal, it's a stoner style bolt carrier with a 3 lug bolt instead of 6-8.

Nothing here is really new, nothing is a direct copy of anything else.

Just like all of the other "new" designs of the last 50 or so years, it's derivative of a number of other designs.

Hopefully they function together to produce a reliable firearm.

I'm sure the RCMP will spare no effort in attempting to get this classified as prohibited. And if they fail at twisting existing laws into a pretzel to accommodate this goal, than they and the various police services will will than resort to political lobbying and media press releases.

Blue Line will be the exclusive importer and distributor within Canada for the MPAR 556. Awesome pictures, by the way.

MSRP will be somewhere between $1000.00 and $1400.00, with exact pricing to follow. Stay tuned for updates :)

Guess I'll sell the SU16 and sit and wait for this.

Could take awhile to make it's way through the acceptance process. Foot dragging is standard with the powers that be. Sure would like one if the price is right.

Sometimes I wonder, when the heck will they come up with a gun that's NR and good looking?

This concept has so much potential but it's SO UGLY....can't they also hire an industrial designer to make them look nice?

Why would the Canadian version have to have a non AR-15 trigger group in order to get in non restricted when the AR-180b that I own has a full small pin AR-15 trigger group and was allowed in non restricted ?--Dieseldog!

Also the jr carbine takes the ar trigger group, ar stock and hand guard. As long as the upper isn't ar it's fine. And I emailed the importer and they said the mpa-rc556 won't be here till late 2014 early 2015

I didn't read through all 12 pages here, and most info is likely out of date (2+ years old)... so I'm just going to ask;

A: Has there been any updates on this?

B: Any mention of the possibility of this being deemed prohibited as a Leader Mark 5 variant?

Thanks.

(couldn't find any other threads on this, so... yeah, I'm raising this one from the dead)
