So the gas adjustment plug launched itself into the great unknown on shot three of sighting in on my .223 XCR-L. Thought I was shooting it at the factory setting but apparently not. So has anyone ordered parts directly from Robinson Arms or is there a Canadian source for parts. Their web site ordering system is not very user friendly but the part is only $17.50. Anyone have any feedback?

Email or call Wolverine Supplies they are the official Rob arms dealer. That's where I get my parts plus they are super awesome to deal with.

Same thing happened to me! Haha I made its to mag 3 before I adjusted it (incorrectly of course). Now I always triple check that the gas plug is in its correct setting and the spring stop is engaged

And yes I got my new gas plug from wolverine

So the gas plug will lunach itself ?

Haha the gas valve rotates and has 5 settings (suppressor, 1,2,3,4). The gas plug has notches in it that will catch a pin at each gas setting and hold it in place. To remove the gas plug you rotate the plus so it it set between Gas setting 1 and 2 then the plug will slide out freely.

So if you are adjusting on the range and not carefully paying attention the gas plus may feel as though you've clicked it into the next gas setting but it could actually be clicked into its disassembly grove, then you squeez the trigger and she's gone for good haha

Home that makes sense, it's a user error and just some extra attention is required. Once the valve is set properly you will probably never have to touch it or worry about this

Yup was trying to adjust the damn thing cause and there were NO markings on on mine, at last none that I could see. Not a real user friendly system that I can see. Needs better markings or less ports. Oh well at least I'm not the only one...

That's good to know, thanks... Now I'll be more careful with my xcr now.

I've ordered directly from RA. Bent my charging handle and they mailed me a new one. They didn't know how to charge me for shipping so they shipped it for free. I asked if they could ship to Canada after I paid for the part and they just said yes.

AArrggh, backordered from Wolverine. Arrival time unknown, can't even sell the damn thing like that.

Ouch very rough, I believe I got the second last one from them but I feel you pain good sir.

It's a very bad feeling to have a new and very expensive rifle that needs one little part. I'm seriously considering getting some very fine braided steel cable and some crips and wiring that little plug on to the gun so that it can be removed but not launched.

My only concern is I don't know how much force the plug is launched with and what size cable is required, too thin and it'll break, tho thick of cable and it's just an eye sore.

Haha only thing I can think of is set up some ply wood at my farm and shoot the plug at it but I'm not losing another one! Good luck glockster! Put an add up on the ee, I bet there's guys with extras who would be willing to sell one for the right price

Please send an e-mail to John@wolverinesupplies.com with all the details, I want to look into this. I didn't think we were ever out of stock of gas plugs, we certainly have lots now as I am making up the spare parts kits, although they may not show up individually on the web page.

Second point is that had I know that your rifle was down due to that part been lost I may have been able to steal one from a gun in stock. Never hurts to e-mail me direct as I rarely have time to follow threads here.
