Hey guys I was at my LGS yesterday and noticed a wartak Sks rail. It appears to be identical to the magwedge kwik rail. Anybody try the wartak out? I'm thinking of picking one up.

Been looking but can't find the ejection port mod. Anybody got a link?

I picked one of these up a few days ago, finally got a chance to install it. I've been trying to find some kind of optic mount for my sks forever from replacement dust covers to gas tube rails and nothing has really worked out... and while I haven't had a chance to put any rounds through it yet, I really dig the design and the fit is outstanding with no tweaks or filing necessary, and the built in shell deflector is a stroke of genius! The inability to use stripper clips doesn't bother me as I use detachable mags

Can't wait to mount a scope and try it out!

I have both and the kwik rail broke at the weld in the rear.
The Wartak rail uses a screw in the rear instead of a weld which is nice, I also found that the Wartak rail is alot more sturdy given the rail is solid.
However it doesn't have the ability to see irons because of that solid rail.

Plus the guys that make the Wartak rail are super nice and know the product pretty good, I asked a bunch of questions over the phone about it before ordering it.

does anyone have close ups of the ejection port side of the installed product?

as well as the rear site mount installation?

I am concerned about the magwedge model, if the weld breaks I'd be out of a rail.

To be honest the Magwedge model will not break from shells hitting the rail alone, If that is your concern you shouldn't be worried about it.

No, shell hitting the rail is not a concern, it's the constant recoil of the bolt hammering the back end of the rifle that will eventually weaken and possibly break the weld. if its happened once to someone then there is a chance that it will happen again. When I saw that product it was the first thing I thought. I like to unload lots of rounds ant inanimate objects, as well as use it to hunt with and would go through some hard use.
