One of my favourite Youtube channels just posted this video that shows some nice closeup details of the Swiss ZfK-55 sniper rifle:

They're pricey, but oh so tempting. Like many, I find myself drawn to the Swiss attention to detail and high quality. I have two K31's, one is from the police surplus shipment with matching bayonet, and from a mechanical perspective, they are fascinating firearms. The ZfK-55 takes that to a whole new level with the tilted action/magazine.

Drool! What a gorgeous rifle, Doug! I'm not sure if I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer to "plainness" of the birch/beech stocks on Swiss rifles.

Yeah, when I have a look at the LMG 25, then I'm really glad that my Grandpa didn't have to use it for real against the germans. Damn thing was just way too complicated to be reliable in the dirt.
