New to the airgun world , needed something different to shoot so bought a Ruger air Hawk 1200fps. Mounted a Bushnell red dot sighted it in and went from there. Got tired of shooting paper so started on the crows. Shot one at 83 yards out of a tree then nailed his buddy at 76 yards (with the rangefinder). Stone dead kill , fell right out of the trees , both through the chest/neck area .What is your longest kill shot?

longest confirmed kill, a gopher at 110 yards with a 21g Beeman Kodiak out of my Airforce Condor, I've shot some a little farther but coudn't find em......

so 110 yards confirmed with rangefinder.

You guys are way beyond me! I just plink rabbits in the head with my Gamo 440 @ 1000fps... Furthest shot might have been 30 or so meters...

Lots of fun with the airguns as it brings me right back to being a kid!

Cheers
Jay

My buddy Randy Hub got a confirmed kill on a gopher at 154 yards with his .25 condor with a 14" LW polygonal barrel. 3 mildots high and 1 mildot to the right.

I confirmed a rabbit at 130 yards 1 shot with jsb jumbo out of a .25 condor last year my power wheel was at 10.

I found a spider on my garage ceiling ~4 yards from where I stood. I nailed that mofo first shot with my Gamo P23 pistol, using a BB.
My wife threatened to take my Gamo away that day. :)

'twas the only confirmed kill with a pellet gun.

When I was a kid I killed a gray jay at 200 yards (minimum) with a .22 cal crossman pump, topped with an old bushnell 4X scope.

I'd fired thousands of rounds through the rifle, and had a pretty good idea of it's trajectory, so I held over an honest seven feet and let her fly.

You should have seen the faces of the two other kids I was with when that bird went down in a poof of feathers.

That old pump accounted for lots of grouse and rabbits too, at much more modest ranges.

Little over 250 yards. A buddy and me were farting around with a pumpkin chucker he made, and one of his chickens happened to stray into the field of fire.

Nothing spectacular in terms of range, only 30 yds. Rested, scoped Slavia w Beeman pellets aimed broadside to the head on a whopper of a crow, bang-flop with the pellet neatly passing through both eyes.

I've hit squirrels at 100 yards before, but I never confirmed the distance. I did put a laser on some starlings @117 yards and dropped 3 of them with my gas ram in .22 shooting Crossman Premier Domes.

I've killed countless snowballs @ 125 yards. But I'm told snowballs have no soul, and so they don't count.

Did you have him stuffed, and mounted i a fearsome pose? Tell me you at least took a kill pic, with your weapon leaning up against his 8-legged carcass...

a raven at 114 yards HW 97 stroked 22 cal. exact diabolo 14.3 one shot one kill they used to stop at that branch not no more they are smart birds

No question airguns are a lot more powerful today, but they aren't all that powerful. I give credit for long shots on targets, and short shots on game. Anyone know what real 100 yard groups are for airguns. The benchrest comp seems to be for score, which eliminates the data that is useful for benchmarking performance.
