Most popular 3 Gun shotgun set ups in Canada?

I'm not sure I agree with the loading part....at least with load 2/4

I find the lifter provides a nice ramp leading right into the tube. With a pump, there is no ramp and I would expect it to be somewhat more prone to hangups.

I have not done load 2/4 on a pump though

Try it if you have the chance. With load 2*seemed* easier, but my semi does not have an extended lifter. Still waiting for my new shotgun, where is it dammit!!.

There was a video of a guy topping Jesse Tischauser in loading 12 under a certain par time (escapes me at the moment) but he drew criticism because he was loading a pump instead of a semi.

Like banger said... Doing these quicky reloads in front of a mirror is one thing...
Exicuting the same level of performance under match conditions... 'Totally different if not impossible

true...there is.something to be said.for muscle memory though...a simple way to make it better is to move around

You need to mimic re-loading while under the stress of competition.

The best stress I've ever had was re-loading while under fire. Ive never had stress like that in competition.

I agree. Nothing beats the stress of having the targets shoot back at you. Amen.

I'm curious and interested about this 3-gun stuff. Despite the fact that every video I see is discouraging (back to my "Jonny Cannon comic relief" post), it would be fun to get involved with. That being said, I have a Super-90. I know the two shot extension is available in Canada to replace the spacer. Without ghosting I believe that brings the capacity to 7. Would this setup be legal to use in Ontario matches? I'm very comfortable using this shotgun, and I'd like to try with it.

If your gun is legal then yes it is legal....
As for capacity... it matters little.
We've run stages where you started with an empty gun and had to load it up on the clock.

As long as it can't hold more than 5 shells of the longest length (ie 3" if it is marked for 2 3/4" and 3") in the magazine, then it is legal.

For any semi auto shotgun, if barrel headstamp stamp says gun is chambered to 3.5", you can have extension tube that can hold 7 of 2 3/4 shells. However if headstamp says it is chambered to 3", your extension tube is illegal if it can hold more than 6 of 2 3/4 shells.

If tube can hold more of those, you are in violation of capacity restriction, because your tube can be loaded with more than 5 shells of respectively 3.5" and 3" length.

Barrel markings have nothing to do with the Capacity of a firearm.

RCMP Maximum Permitted Magazine Capacity

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide greater clarity on the maximum permitted capacity of cartridge magazines designed or manufactured for use in more than one kind of firearm. Note that the maximum permitted capacity of a magazine is determined by the physical characteristics of the firearm it is designed or manufactured for and the type of ammunition for which it is designed. The maximum permitted capacity of the magazine does not depend on the classification of the firearm, nor does the magazine capacity influence the classification of the firearm.

So here's a question about barrel markings and capacity. Is it the barrel or the receiver that dictates capacity?

Remington VM Tactical and VM Sportman. The receivers are the same. Barrel on Tactical is marked 3". Barrel on Sportsman is 3.5".

Let's say I put the sportsman barrel on my VM tactical. Am I now able to put 7 x 2 3/4" shells in the mag tube?
