NEW ITEM: Dominion Arms Socom 18

Was looking on the CanadaAmmo site and noticed they have fluted and non-fluted op rod match grade spring guide for this rifle. What brand do they offer and is this a worthwhile purchase along with the SoCom? What other items would be a good idea from CanadaAmmo for the SoCom purchase as shipping will be included? Might as well purchase it all at once.

The op rod is a good upgrade piece. I have a different brand of bolt release, but the one canam has would be a nice choice as well.

Got a couples extra op spring guides Match with my NM M1A, first thing i will change on them... JP.

Definition of a restricted firearm

According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:

a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,
a firearm that
is not a prohibited firearm,
has a barrel less than 470mm(18.5 inches) in length, and
is capable of discharging center-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,
a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or
a firearm of any other kind that is prescribed to be a restricted firearm

If the above is true then how can an 457.2mm(18 inch) barreled semi auto be Non Restricted? Not trying to bad mouth or anything, I'm genuinely curious as to how this is possible.
