At first I thought it was a Marlin and then thought it might be a Winchester 1894. Now, I'm thinking that maybe it's an 1886? What do you experts think?

I would suspect that the bucks are in that position from rigor mortis and temperature. I don't thinks he's hoisting them up with shear strenth, lol.

It's a Winchester 1894 and it shot big bucks as well. I love those old 1950 photo's!

It's no relative of mine. A friend of mine sent me the photo and said that picture was taken about a 1/2 hour from Sudbury. I'd love to drop a buck like that. 206 hours to go.
