Stock touching barrel is normal and not a defect, you sand it yourself as mentioned, temperature and humidity changes can also bring it into contact even if it wasn't previously. I too am impressed with Clay's patience for a complaint of that nature, unless we're talking fore end damage and I don't understand your explanation. I always enjoys spending money with Clay, did almost six thousand in damage at his shop last month to the personal finances. Clay has also imported multiple guns for me as well, can't speak highly enough.

Another satisfied prophet river customer here! I've bought at least 4 rifles from Clay in the past year or so, 2 custom orders. There were some minor hiccups with them and Clay made it right, right away no questions no hastle. Keep up the great work Clay your efforts are truly appreciated.

I have purchased a couple rifles and scopes off Clay and have had PR do many imports for me. The service I have received from Clay and the rest of the staff has been nothing short of outstanding.

Thanks Clay and Prophet River for being such a great place to do business!

Would not called them old, half of them still have their purchase tags on them an never got of the house yet... JP.

Ha and I thought I was the only gun nut like that. Do have to admit however still have some from the 60's with tags or lately if I like the look and feel a lot after I shoot it I normally buy a second identical a few months later to keep one unfired. So maybe I really do need some help. :)

These guys go above and beyond sometimes. I had a telephone ammo order go missing and they tracked it down to the courier receiver who forgot to notify me for two weeks. They talked him into delivering it free on charge (50 km round trip). Any other company would just give me a tracking number and say "good luck". Not Prophet River.

I bought my .44 magnum, what I call my hand cannon, from Clay at Prophet River and they let me do lay away and pay for it over the course of six months. The day he received my last payment, he shipped her out to me and I've been happy as a clam ever since. Top notch business!

I have purchased quite a few rifles from clay, and i would agree they are top notch and are way above what you will get anywhere else. only improvement clay could make , would be to get us a limited run of ruger #1's in 356win or 348 win lol
