Just got me a very light Forbes 30-06 + an Ultralight Leupold scope...

Spurly has my .284 I had built on a Model 7 SS and I did the wildcat. With 6x42 and talley's it was 6lbs. Shot well under an inch and I do miss it. ;) it had a 22" tube.

Where the hell am I whenever these transactions take place?, if you ever get drunk and think of putting your 350RM on the EE you'd better PM me first.

Not sure I'd want a 30/06 that light. Maybe a 7/08 though. Nice rifle either way.

If it's anything like the 30-06 84L I've shot a bit, it'll be very manageable. Surprisingly pleasant to shoot, even off the bench. A good pad and great stock design makes all the difference.

I want a Forbes in 30-06... and 7-08... :)

In the deal i concluded with Clay @ Prophet for my first restricteds, i just pick up the first Forbes rifle model 24B 30-06 that Prophet sell, also a Leupold V-ll 3X9X33 Wide duplex Ultralight...
Rifle @ 5.4 pounds...
Scope @ 8.8 ounces...
Talley rings @ 2 ounces
This rig all dress up is under 6 pounds, it will barely hit 6 pounds with 4 rounds in it.... I wish it could been in 308 but i will suffer the ....30-06, pictures from the site when they are up... JP.

Under 6, WOW!!! This example I have from the 'pre-metric era';),

as is and loaded comes in @ 7 3/4lbs and I thought that was light. A Husqvarna model 4000 light weight in 30-06 that I inherited from my Dad.

If all the # supplied are exact, this Forbes rifle will be @ 6.5 pounds with scope, rings, 4 rounds, sling, i believe it will... JP.

If it comes out under 7 for your purpose life is good... Still looking to pick up a good spot and stalk with nice iron sights myself... Looking at tradex right now...
Hope you are fine Superbrad, long time did not talk to you... JP.
