Norinco NS522 tack driver!!

Can-Ams Norinco NS522 is one hell of a .22 for the price!
Anyone thinking over this one just do it!!!lots of potential!!
This is a quick group after clean up (comes drenched in oil) 50yrds

It looks like a nice rifle. Have you tried shorts in it? The site says it will fire .22 shorts from the 5-round mags?

The receiver is marked .22LR.

Yeah, that makes more sense.
I like shorts, and most of my rimfires are tube mags for that reason, except the semis. I think the website is maybe incorrect. I should clarify: it doesn't "say it will fire them", it just lists .22LR, 22 Long and 22 short on the listing.

But it still looks a nice rifle, I like it. I have some older-style Norincos and I love 'em too...

what ammo does your like? Mine was great at 50yds with the Blazer ammo, but at 100, things opened up. Gonna see if I can find a decent combo with bulk before trying out some match. I heard the 333 bulk pack ammo has been performing well in these, but I have not found any myself.

Just the cheap Federal 525 bulk pack..
Be interesting to see what she can do at 100yrds.

I am waiting till the gun show tomorrow to get a swivel bipod and some optics. I knew it would be a shooter. Thanks for the range report

New Norinco's are definetily the best gun going, these days.

i was looking at these.
are they a CZ knock off?

are they tapped for optics?

I took out my 22's this weekend

1. the new NS 522
2. CZ 452 American 16"
3. 1712 Anschutz

The NS is nice and I'll keep it as a bush gun. Out of the box the trigger on the 522 is better then on my CZ but the Anny makes them both look silly and crude.

@ 100 yds the CZ performed marginally better the the 522. Seemed they always opened up a little but all inside of 2 inches with practice ammo and around 1-1 1/2 inch when I fed them the match ammo.

The Anny is nearly x10 the price of the 522 any it does shoot that much better. However at that price I'll never take it much further then the range so the 522 is my new bumper rifle.

A small batch showed up about 5 years ago. Prophet River sold out of them in no time.

I've never seen them show up anywhere since; feel free to make me a silly offer!
