I have one of these rifles on the way to me and I'm hoping it'll show up before deer season is over. While I wait on Canada Post I'd like to get my ducks in a row so I can put the rifle to use as soon as it shows up.

Does anyone know where to buy the Ruger 10 round plastic mags or metal mags?

Does anyone know of a good load for this rifle?

Has anyone seen the AI 10 round mags sell for under 90$?

Mine will put 5 into less than .75'' consistently, 180 flat base Hornady Interlocks with 42 grains of IMR4064.

The AI mags from Marstar [ on new items page ] fit the gun. I have a Scout and can confirm they are good to go.They DO NOT fit the M-305/M-14. I believe they are $69.00 ea. cheers!

Ruger makes there own polymer mags as well. I just bought 5 ten rounders from P and D enterprises. They have 5 rounders in stock as well. They also have the guns themselves as i just bought one of them too.

LOL GunGuy... didn't you just sell one of those on the EE recently?

When you were at P&D, did they have any 3-rounders in stock?

I sold one last year sometime, have been looking for one ever since lol. Not sure about the 3 rounders but they do have 10 and 5 rounders.

I bought a 5 round polymer Ruger mag from I Run Guns, about a year ago, Its real nice it comes with a cap for the top as well so you dont get snow or other #### in it carrying it around, I figured just in case I wanna use the Scout for deer this season. Not sure about other prov's but in sask. apparently you cant use a 10rnd mag. for hunting big game. great gun I use 42.2 gr of 3031 IMR and 165gr HOT-COR. softpoints, and I also get groups about .650 at 100yrds,

The mag cap is pretty good idea actually. I think I'll be leaning towards getting some plastic 10 rounders in that case.

I don't see any price on the P&D website. How much are they?
