Sask range roads

If I am driving down the highway and see coyote I shoot it if I have the chance. I also would only do it in an area I am familiar with so I know what my surrroundings are. If I am not breaking any laws, I have nothing to worry about

Is it actually legal to shoot from a vehicle in Saskatchewan or are you guys just goofing around? Here in BC if a CO stops by and you have leaned your loaded gun against your truck, while you get out your pack or something, your getting charged. If a CO caught you shooting at a deer from your truck, you would be loosing your truck and your rifle.

The regulations are very clear, no shooting in the vehicle, (and no loaded firearms in the vehicle precludes shooting in the vehicle anyway.) One hears of people charged for shooting using the vehicle for a rest, and that's not always with the vehicle still on the road. It hasn't happened to me, just heard of it.

I don't go out intending to "road hunt" but in some of the very open country we have, you can be driving to where you intend to get out on foot and an opportunity presents en route. I feel confident that if I get out and cross the ditch before shooting I am far enough away from the road to satisfy the COs.
