Got to shoot a .44 mag today

My 44mag is a 7.5" Ruger SBH Bisley Hunter Stainless. This SA is awesome to shoot and the sound of the cylinder "clicks" is like music :)

I've got that exact same revolver, it's one I'll never sell.

I will begin my hanguns shooting carrer with my DE 44 mag and my Ruger SA Single 10 22lr but along the road, maybe a 500 S&W will join the herd as i have in excess of 100 factory Platinium 400 gr and all to reload that caliber (still have 3 pounds of Littl'eGun), at one point i had a NEF rifle in 500 but sold it last year... JP.
 
I've fired a few, and I can tell you, the .44 Mag revolver kicks more than my .50AE Desert Eagle, for obvious reasons.

Great minds think alike. I just added another revolver to my collection, I just bought a S&W 627 Performance Center, 357 mag with an 8 shot cylinder.
 
I just picked up 2 .45LCs so I'm interested in comparing a full load .45LC to the same in .44 Mag. I got a carbine 1892 Rossi Ranch Hand in .45LC. Need to do some hand loads and hit the range. The Ranch Hand is cute, if a gun can be cute! Can't comment on how it shoots yet.
 
I shot my uncle's 44 Blackhawk with a 10 1/2" barrel. Awesome accuracy and we could make easy hits with the open sights at 50 yards. The S&W 29 is the one I want though. If its good enough for Dirty Harry, it's good enough for me.
 
I have a stainless Ruger Super Redhawk with the 9.5" barrel and it's a blast to shoot. Def. a plus to reload for it (made ~450 .44 rounds today on Dillon 650, so I'm set for a bit.) Recoil is not what I thought it would be at all. Has the added bonus of not having to go rummaging in the dirt to find my brass. I did shoot a DE .44 a couple of months ago and liked it. Will prolly buy one for xmas present to me.

Just a friendly reminder that you can't shoot lead bullets through a DE, they clog up the gas system, just FYI.
 
Definitely some nice looking revolvers you guys have collected. I've though about getting a .44 lever action as well so I have two guns that use the same ammo. Then I see the ones chambered in .45 LC are fairly easy to find then than gets me thinking about the S&W 460....
So many choices, lol.

You wouldn't regret getting a 460, they are a sh*t load of fun to shoot.

The 460v shoots 460magnum, 454Casull, 45Colt...and something else(less popular) that I can't remember right now.
