Cool Trijicon fact, if you look on the side of your Trijicon there should be a bible reference, mine is mt:5:16. The reference always has something to do with "light". Mt:5:16 is, "Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Is there one on your Trijicon? It's probably right on the bottom of the side we can see in the photo.
Sorry for highjacking, but I thought I'd add this info. to the post already made, as it interested me when I aquired my ACOG a couple of years ago and noticed the reference.
You will only find the Bible verse reference on older ACOG's.
I have a TA31R that was brought back from the sand pit by a Canadian soldier, it references John 8:12 on it, which says:
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".Other models have references to different verses.
Good chance you have a TA11F if it has Matthew 5:16 on it, which says:
In the same way, let your light so shine before other, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
Apparently the verses were added to the scopes by the founder of Trijicon, a religious man, many years ago. The references kind of make sense, in an ironic way, considering the guy was religious, but knew the sights were built to be used to kill things.
The US Military and a number of other forces happened to notice it a few years back and ended up taking exception to it being on their equipment.
Trijicon agreed to remove the reference on all model being supplied to forces sometime in 2010.
They still put it on civilian products.
NOW! Back to this thread!
Being an AR owner and after seeing some of the cool setups on here, I think it won't be long before I add another bullpup to my safe to keep my KSG company! LOL
