Does anyone know where I can find an M6 Scout?

Your friend should consider the Chiappa Double Badger, probably easier to find, cheaper and better!

Savage mod 42 is another option.

I found mine on the EE, can't remember if I posted a WTB add or if it was posted WTS. I've only seen one other one since. Subscribe to the Canadian Access to Firearms newspaper. You just might fine one there. I believe they come in .22, .22mag or 22 Hornet. Mine is 22 Hornet/410. I sure do like mine for sled/quad carry. Thicken up your wallet, they don't come cheap! I believe I paid 700 or 750 shipped for mine and it came with the M6 scope. It's missing one of the scope adjustment caps. If anyone has a cap, I will put a little coin in your pocket for it! Good Luck.

You don't find them very easily. They are not made anymore. They haven't been for a few years. You might get extremely lucky and find a used one at a gun shop. You would have better odds of winning the lottery then finding a used one in a store though. Your best bet is to put a add up in the Equipment Exchange here on CGN looking for one. Expect to pay a little over a 1000$ for one if you do find a person willing to sell theirs. Look at a Henry AR7, Marlin Papoose or a Chiappa Little Badger as replacement options.

Been actively looking for one for 8 years, no luck.
I got the Little Badger, very, very happy.

Bought the new Savage 42 too, to quench the .22/.410 thirst, nightmare gun.

The little badger does look like a nice little .22!
What issues are you having with the 42?

I want to really like this rifle, I really do. However if I cant pop out the hinge pin to separate halves, I lose all interest in this rifle. The simple fact that chiappa didn't make that as part of the build is beyond idiocy in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess they figured that it was compact enough and wanted to keep it one unit.
I doubt it would be difficult to fabricate a removable pin.
