Zastava Z98 bases ??

A liitle more complicated than I thought. This is what's in the Weaver catalogue . I don't know about the ring size, so I included both, The Rem 798 and Mark X ( from what I read) are the same as the Zastava Z98

Receiver Ring about 1.410" Diameter (98FN) 45 (48045) 46 (48046)

Receiver Ring about 1.300" Diameter (Swedish 96) 55 (48055) 46 (48046)

Remington 798 55 (48055) 20A (48020)

Interarms Mark X 55 (48055) 20A (48020)

Take the bases for the FN M/98 action. It's Weaver #46 Front and #45 Rear.
The difference when using the #20A and #55, is that the front rail will be very low on the ring.
Same if you go with a one piece base; use FN 98 action as a reference.

This, pick the FN 98 Mauser option for bases.

Baribal the lower set can be a good idea if you re using quick detach rings and open sights as a back up ....

all the best.

Yes, I agree, but the sights are pretty high on these Zastava, and it's not a must. When using say, the Leupold QD, the bases are about the same height as the Weaver bases.
Another thing is that the bases #46 and #45 are very easy to get, almost everyone keeping bases have them.
