The compensator on the front of our p22 seems to be loose. I have backed everything off and retightened everything. It still jiggles around a bit. Is this common?

I have the same problem with mine, and I've found that the compensator slowly bends out of shape from the torque on the screws holding it on. The looser it gets, the more you have to torque it on, the more it bends, and the looser it gets. Cheap pot metal. I just fastened the front sight to the actual slide and left the piece of junk off. I think I might just take the pistol in to my gunsmith and get him to shorten the barrel and sleeve to the minimum length so it doesn't look so strange. My wife has claimed the pistol as hers anyway.

Ditto for the Sig Mosquito: avoid like the plague!

Really ? Haven't heard about that one yet either.

Most of the active threads are talking about how the GSG's and MP 22's are quite good but with their small foibles.

I guess the P22 and Mosquito threads died off fast like peoples enthusiasm for a bad purchase.

Thanks for saving me a few bucks.

I like mine.... So far... I agree with moving the front sight back. I am currently waiting on a gunsmith to make a fake can for me. (To cover the barrel)

Haven't had any problems with the one I bought for my wife, but it probably doesn't have even a brick through it yet. I was also thinking about ditching the comp and building a fake can too though, it's a pain to take on and off considering you don't need tools for anything else.
