The search function is garbage still.
OP, Since you have obviously spent a good bit of money on the rifle, you should match it with the optics.
Sightron is the lowest I would consider, being a good brand with clear glass for the money. Vortex is solid as well.
If you can afford it though, I would honestly say to put a Nightforce or an S&B on it, the rifle deserves it.

ATTENTION MODS!!!! Please close all posts and stop allowing new threads, everything has been answered already..... end sarcasm.
Shibby! The time that it took you to write you could have offered an opinion, perhaps something new is on the market that was not covered in earlier posts.
A new thread make it easy for the OP to find and track the information that he is looking for, it also creates a new page that generates more page views.......meaning advertisers like it and they pay for this site to people like you can make ignorant posts.
Sightron 10X50X60 LRTD, i have a couple of those and for long range shooting, they cant be beat, best overall and great price, NF are not worthed the extra $$ compared to the Sightron... JP.
Because all the info on this post hasn't already been said... within the last week.... multiple times.
We don't need redundancy for lazy people who don't know how to search, or can't google.
It's the problem with society these days. People need to be spoon fed.
I for one don't come here to read the same things over and over. I'm guessing that the majority of users agree. Most of the stuff talked about on this forum is entry level stuff. Hence why people LEAVE this forum to go find more intricate info and learn.
Don't take this the wrong way but, "Hoping to try this rifle out to 1 to 2K"...Something tells me you shouldn't be buying a 338LM, let alone a high end scope for it. Maybe you should buy a 223 or 308 to learn the wind and elevation changes at 400 to 1000 meters. Fact is, if you've done your long range homework with similar aforementioned calibers you wouldn't be asking this question.Looking for advise on scope selection for .338 LM. The rifle is a Savage 110 BA. Hoping to try this rifle out to 1000- 2000 meters.
This statement is not true, the NF is definitely clearer then a Sightron (I own an SIII personally on my LR gun). When I was purchasing, I looked through an Siii and a NF side by side and the NF is noticeably clearer. Nightforce also offers longer eye relief, and more vertical adjustment.
The advise you gave on a 10x50x60 is also not a good choice, that particular scope has very minimal vertical travel and will leave the OP in search of more. The 338 should be equipped with something that has enough vertical to make it worthwhile (the Sightron does not have enough vertical)
There are so many post of there made by Sightron owners claiming that their scopes are just as good as a Nightforce but that simply is not the case. Once again to clarify I am a Sightron owner and if I had the extra money I would own a Nightforce no questions asked.
If you wanted to be of help you would have provided the op with a link to the threads you're referring. I suspect other motivations.
what is wrong with learning with a higher caliber rifle? My first "precision" rifle was a TRG in 338 Lapua and now I am getting ready for 50BMG.Don't take this the wrong way but, "Hoping to try this rifle out to 1 to 2K"...Something tells me you shouldn't be buying a 338LM, let alone a high end scope for it.
