How many others have wives that hate you going hunting?

Im pretty lucky as mi e is ok with it as long as I have remembered to tell her im going. If I forget and mention it the night before or couple hours before im leaving she gets a little waspish. But she is ok when I get home. She just thinks im stupid for getting up at 5am to go duck hunting.

Had a buddy who between his constant whining about his wife #####ing him out for going hunting and her #####ing us out every time we came back from the hunt when we dropped him off we unfortunately had to quit hunting with him. The two of them were driving us nuts!

Gonna give you the basics.

"hired" love is a far cheaper option, you have different partners each time if you like, they leave when you are done and there is NO complaining, they will even pretend to have enjoyed it. ;)

Hunting season rolls around , not a soul around to nag you.You could get house cleaning as well , also much cheaper than a spouse.

Some guys build gazebos for the wife others will dig a hole, it is different for everyone and your situation may not appeal to the next fellow.

HA! It was funny reading over this old thread to see that after two years your answer to this is still the same, respectable in some ways I guess lol.

The biggest difficulty you have to deal with in relationships is just reminding them you aren't paying for their opinions. All men envy the amount of problems you have, and don't forget that.

Be careful who you date though Kelly, even deer can smell that a mile away.

Don't worry.All is clean. :)

I trialed her through 5 hunting seasons before getting married. It's all good here. She does get a bit mopey when I don't take part in some of the fundraisers that happen in the fall but she understands.

Like gatehouse, she is happy when I go out hunting because she knows it makes me happy.

I don't know where'd they have the time to complain after doing the housework, laundry, shopping, etc. Maybe if she has enough time to complain she's not busy enough around the house.

LOL

My wifey asks if my life insurance is up to date.
I tell her I'm thinking of putting some on her too...........
Usually quietens her down.

As me ole pa use to say, "If you kill'm, you go to jail".

I guess that pretty much s'plains it.

LOL - at least we learned two things today:

1) Why I have no friends (fed them to bears)
2) Why I'm not married (no one to iron my shirt)

I cannot believe that this isn't the fastest growing thread in the history of the world. For those lucky fellows out there who don't get nagged about hunting; Not to worry boys, my wife hates it enough for everyone!

You could have Carrie Underwood for a wife....lol

"Carrie Underwood has banned husband Mike Fisher from his favorite pastime – hunting! Carrie, a vegan, laid down the law after finding a box of guns and traps at Mike’s home in Canada, sources say.

“Carrie hit the roof when she found Mike’s hunting gear,” a source told the Enquirer. “She knew Mike has hunted everything, even grizzly bears, but she thought he’s given it all up when they got married. Carrie loves animals, doesn’t eat them and is dead against harming them for fun.”

To appease his wife, Mike vowed to quit hunting and squirreled his gear away, said the source. The hunting ban is another win for Carrie – sources say she pressured Mike to move from Canada to Tennessee to save their marriage – and he demanded that the Ottawa Senators trade him to the Nashville Predators.

Their marriage had been on thin ice last year, when Carrie reneged on a promise to move to Canada with Mike. The couple ended up buying 354 acres in rural Williamson County, Tennessee, where they are building a home.

“Carrie and Mike are creating their dream home in Nashville, and she doesn’t want any hunting gear there. It’s going to be a warm, safe love nest where they can start a family.”

He's acting like that's the first steady piece he's ever gotten.

Is Tennessee one of those states with a buck a day or no limit on bucks?

I literally laughed out loud when I read the thread post. My wife hates it (animal lover) can't stand I do it, hated it when I introduced are oldest son and is hoping are youngest wont like it. I have always hunted and always will. Plan to pass it down at least two generations maybe three if i'm lucky lol.

PS after reading this thread I now dislike Carrie Underwood!
